Challenges dispatchers to consider not only their own personal ethical standards, but also the expectations, values, principles, and standards that are particular to their profession. The goals of the program are to 1) identify influences or cues that may affect a dispatcher's ethical reasoning and decision making skills; 2) raise awareness of ethical issues and decisions that public safety dispatchers must routinely confront on the job; and 3) promote ongoing discussion and training of issues, policies, and minimal ethical standards at the individual agency level. Divided into four segments that present unique challenges to ethical reasoning.
