Youth Violence Update

Examines the issues related to predicting, preventing, investigating and identifying youthful offenders. Key topic areas discussed include the progression of violence, risk factors, warning signs and indicators, desensitization to the results of violence, violence in the media, truancy sweeps, adolescent sensation-seeking, age issues, technology and the internet, and probation trends. Encourages California's peace officers to play a significant role in helping shape today’s youth, and teaches that officers need to be proactive in dealing with young people in our communities.

The DVD program offers two viewing options:
