This program provides a broad overview of the effects of various chemical agents and is designed to 1) familiarize officers with commonly used handheld aerosol chemical agents; 2) raise awareness of chemical agent effectiveness, use, and limitations; 3) present opportunities to observe use of chemical agents in the field and in training environments; 4) aid officers in effective deployment and use of chemical agents and develop skills in their use; 5) address legal and liability aspects of use of chemical agents and demonstrate the importance of proper documentation; and 7) present various medical and decontamination information and issues. The DVD program offers two viewing options: play video in its entirety or select among seven video segments.
