Many of the terrorist acts committed in the United States in the last few years have involved bombs and bomb threats. The security of this country-- and the safety of every community-- depends on peace officers being fully prepared to deal with all types of explosive devices. Homemade explosives (HMEs) are already a serious threat, and knowing how to deal with HMEs will become increasingly important for all law enforcement personnel.
This telecourse provides important tools to help officers properly react to the manufacture and detonation of HMEs, and provides additional resources that may be used to insure officer safety as well as the safety of the general public.
