The scope of counterfeit documents in California is wide-ranging and affects everybody in every walk of life-- from people assuming another's identity using counterfeit documents, to people purchasing or selling vehicles on counterfeit documents. It's a cycle of serious crime, involving persons with past and current criminal histories, and is not just an issue limited to fake driver licenses and underage drinking.
This training program teaches that counterfeit and fraudulent government documents spans into serious criminal areas such as narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, gang business and terrorist activity.
